The short version
- Your plan, your journal and how you trade belong to you. We never reveal them to anyone else.
- We never sell your data, and we never use it to grow the Exchange. Nothing you put in trains a model or teaches the Exchange anything. What the Exchange knows comes from our own library, not from you.
- Sharing is yours. Nothing is shared with anyone unless you choose to share it, item by item, and you can take it back.
- It's your data to take or delete. Ask and we do it.
What we keep
Your email address. The rules, goals and plan you write. Your journal and notes. The plans we build for you and how they turned out. Trades you upload: we keep the trades, not the file, and account numbers and names are removed before anything is saved. Your settings. To sign you in we use a one-time code sent to your email and a session cookie. If you turn on an authenticator app, we keep the secret it needs.
How we use it
Only to show you your own plan, journal and findings. We don't use it for ads, we don't profile you, and no other account can see it. The only cross-member use is anonymous counts (how an idea did across plans like yours), never shown below a minimum group size and never linked to you. We don't look at your plan or journal, except to fix a problem you've asked us to fix.
Where it passes through
Running the app takes a few services, and they handle your data only on our behalf:
- Hosting and database. They keep the data that runs your account.
- Text messages. If someone invites you by phone, our SMS provider sends that one invite text, so it sees your number.
- Email. Our email service sends your login codes and any briefs you ask for, so it sees your address.
- AI. Only when you ask the Exchange a question or paste in a strategy, the text you wrote and the parts of your plan needed to answer are sent to an AI service to write the reply. We don't keep it for any other purpose. You can turn AI features off in Setup.
- Telegram. Only if you connect it, and only for the messages you send and the answers you get.
- Fonts. Your browser loads fonts from Google, so Google can see your IP address when a page loads.
Sharing
Everything starts private. If you add people to your trading team, they see only what you choose to share, such as how much of your word you keep. They never see your trades unless you decide to show them. You can stop sharing at any time.
Your control
Some wording in the app may be polished by an automated third-party language service on a free plan, and that provider may use what it receives to improve its products. So we only ever send anonymous counts, results in R and market names. We never send your name, email, notes, journal, balances or account details. Every number you see is computed by us, never by that service.
You can export everything we have about you, or delete your account, yourself, any time: Plan, then Your data. See Your data. If you can't sign in, write to the address you were invited from and we'll do it within 30 days. When your account is deleted, your plan, journal and trades are deleted with it.
Security
Everything travels over HTTPS. We never ask for a broker password. Uploaded files are read, cleaned and discarded. Access to the running service is limited to the people who keep it running.
Cookies
One cookie keeps you signed in. There are no ad or tracking cookies. Details: Cookies.
